Went to the opening of The Geoffrey Stapleton Art Gallery on Saturday. There was a lot of great paintings, free vegetarian sushi and free champagne. I saw GANGajang play (as Geoff is the keyboardist) and the singer officially opened the art gallery. It features paintings inspired by their experiences touring in Brazil among other things. I got a chance to talk to Geoff and within the next few weeks we’re going to do another collaborative project together. When it’s all completed I’ll post a link to it on here
A great tribute to Sarah Jane Smith with music by David Bowie

For those of you who grew up watching Tom Baker as The Doctor and Elisabeth Sladen as his companion Sarah Jane or the revived series of Doctor Who where she reappeared with David Tenant as The Doctor you’ll be sad to know that Elisabeth Sladen died today after struggling with cancer at the age of 63. She’ll forever be remembered as Sarah Jane traveling though time and space in the TARDIS and spending time with her robotic dog K-9 on Earth.
I personally always remembered Sarah Jane as the definitive companion to The Doctor. My favourite episodes of the Classic Doctor Who series both featured her. Seeds Of Doom (starring Tom Baker and Elisabeth Sladen) and The Five Doctors featuring all five Doctors, Sarah Jane, Bessie, Daleks, Cybermen, The Master, The Timelords, Galifrey and K-9.
RIP Elisabeth Sladen 1 April 1948 - 19 April 2011

A project I did with Geoff Stapleton (The keyboardist of Gangajang and songwriter for a lot of Australian songs as well as a visual artist). I wrote and performed the lyrics, he did all the music and filmed and edited the clip, as well as recorded and edited the song. Hoping to do another one soon. I’ve been told I sound slightly like Nick Cave in this. I had a sore throat at the time, so couldn’t talk, could only sing.
To be nobody - but yourself - in a world that is doing it’s best, night and day, to make you somebody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human can fight; and never stop fighting.” E. E. Cummings
